Learn how advanced neural retraining can resolve anxiety or depression patterns for good.

Video transcript

Hi, Madeleine Lowry, certified MAP Method practitioner. I wanted to talk about how we use neural retraining, or an advanced method of neural retraining, like the MAP Method for anxiety, depression, and other intense negative mood states

So, what I want you to understand is that emotions are created in the brain in response to certain situations or activities, and these emotions are created as a kind of communication system with the rest of the body.

The brain, remember, is responsible for coordinating the response of 50 trillion different cells in our body, so the emotion is accompanied by a neurotransmitter production that then kind of washes through our circulation system and every single cell in your body has receptors for these neurotransmitters.

Every cell is informed of what the emotional state is, and this is necessary because if there's extreme fear the body needs to operate differently, for example, so every emotion has a physiological effect as well.

Also understand that each emotional communication is meant to arise and dissipate in a short period of time, in as little as 90 seconds. So when these emotional states are being sustained over a long period of time that is a sign that there is a brain circuit that's being fired over and over again.

The way the MAP Method works is: it works directly with the subconscious mind and working directly with the subconscious mind in the session, with a practitioner over Zoom video conference, we are able to have the subconscious mind focus on a particular instance where you felt this emotion intensely and then have it identify related memories and then start to neutralize the intense emotions around the whole group, the whole cluster of memories.

And each time we do this in a session it's like we're de-intensifying that emotional circuit. We're weakening it --you could think of it that way.

The purpose of the Program is to provide you with some core sessions that allow you different angles on doing this. We work with each aspect of the circuit, so there there's the emotion--often once the emotion fires there's a thought that goes along with it or maybe a set of thoughts. The thoughts kind of reinforce the emotion, the emotion reinforces the thoughts, and then we have like this negative spiral.

We can work with the thoughts. We can work with the emotions around the events, and we can work with the triggers that either initiate the whole thing or sustain it.

And so in this way we are de-intensifying this brain circuit. Then we can also work with the MAP Method to reinforce a better brain circuit: How is it that you want to feel and act and be in response to these situations in the future?

The MAP Method is useful for both of these and in the program there's also a session on intentions that helps you to reinforce the new neural circuit, the one that you want to have fire, instead of the old one that we have downgraded or de-prioritized in the operating system of your subconscious mind.

I hope this explanation makes sense to you and I do hope you give it a try.
